A bite splint (also known as a night guard), is a protective device that is fitted to your teeth which helps to prevent dental injury from bruxism. Bruxism is a form of excessive teeth grinding or jaw clenching that occurs most often at night and can be the cause for headache, toothache, tooth breakages amongst other things.
